94 Street Road Widening

  • 94 Street from Southfort Drive to approximately 300m south of the Hospital is being widened from 2 lanes to 4 lanes
  • A consultant has been selected and design work is complete
  • The project will be re-tendered in January with work taking place in 2022

Hwy 15 & 119 Street Intersection

  • Intersection to be upgraded and widened to accommodate new traffic lights
  • Traffic lights are active

Highway 15 Bridge Twinning

  • Alberta Transportation is leading this project
  • Work continues on the west side of the North Saskatchewan River
  • Work is underway on the portion of Hwy 15 within the City of Fort Saskatchewan limits. Fort Centre Park Trail Closures in effect August 26, 2019 - October 1, 2022

Neighbourhood Rehab – 101 Street

  • The project will replace water, sewer and road infrastructure on 101 Street from 101 Ave to 99 Ave
  • 101 Street is open
  • Signage and minor deficiencies are complete
  • Landscape work will occur in 2022

Neighbourhood Rehab – 103 Street

  • Work includes replacement of water, sewer and road infrastructure on 103 St from 99 Ave to 98 Ave
  • A consultant has been selected and design work is complete
  • Work will occur in 2022

Neighbourhood Rehab – 108 Street

  • The project will replace water, sewer and road infrastructure on 108 Street from 101 Ave to the end of 108 Street
  • Work on 108 Street from 101 Ave to 102 Ave is complete and the road is open. Landscaping will occur in 2022.
  • Work on 108 Street north of 102 Ave will resume in 2022

Sump Pump Retrofit Program

  • Work to connect sump pumps to the storm pipes will occur on Sonora Crescent and Sante Fe Court
  • Sump Pump connections on Sonora Crescent are complete
  • Sump Pump connections on Santa Fe Court will occur in 2022
  • Asphalt and Landscape repairs will occur in 2022

Transfer Station Site Enhancements

  • Work includes a new scale and scale house, elevated disposal area for garbage, metal & bulky waste and new compactors. Construction will be completed in two phases. A drawing of the phasing can be found here.
  • Concrete work for the scale house is complete. Work on the rest of phase one will start again in spring 2022.
  • The transfer station hours have been changed to: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 9am – 5pm, Tuesday and Wednesday: Noon-8pm
  • The transfer station will be open during construction

Water Reservoir Lifecycle Renewal

  • The project includes lifecycle replacements of distribution pumps, electrical and mechanical systems and building improvements at the main water reservoir and some minor work at the Westpark water reservoir.
  • Electrical and mechanical work is complete at the main reservoir
  • Work to replace the distribution pumps at the main reservoir is complete
  • Deficiencies and minor work to the interior of the main reservoir will be completed in January
