Volunteers help restore the old jail cemetery

Volunteers of the Fort Saskatchewan Historical Society took on a big job this summer – the restoration of the old gaol (jail) cemetery. The white crosses in this small cemetery mark the final resting place for inmates who died while serving time at the Provincial Gaol. The graves are unidentified, their names lost to history. Retail Gap Analysis Results Released

In May of this year The City of Fort Saskatchewan hired Key Planning Strategies, Colliers International and Keyfax Market Research to conduct a city-wide retail market and gap analysis. A consumer intercept survey in May allowed residents to provide their insights on retail shopping in Fort Saskatchewan. The last retail market and gap analysis was completed in 2016.

Fort Saskatchewan joins Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities

The Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities (CIM) is an initiative calling on municipalities from across Canada to be part of a larger international coalition of cities to combat racism, discrimination, exclusion and intolerance.
